Games Offered Carom3D offer a wide variety of games including the more popular games such as 8Ball, 9Ball and Snooker it claims to have many other games but not all are supported by the client

 | | Site Design
The website is quite cluttered and a lot is going on visually: stats, news, schedules, among others. Other than that, it's made quite professionally and has some cute graphics.

Site Usability
The different languages offered could have been a nice feature for international users, but for some reason, carom3d.com haven't really finished the whole translation option, and if you choose a language other than English, what you get is a mix of mostly English along with some randomly selected titles and words in your local language of choice. Strange but true. The FAQ area is not the easiest to navigate or most informative FAQ I've ever seen. The guide: carom3d.com boasts an enormous guide, but even though it definitely contains a lot of information, it's mostly bloated and categorized in a most unfortunate way. In addition, the Event & Rules section is nice and contains information and various billiard games, except that some of them aren't supported by carom3d, so it makes you wonder why they are there. One last thing regarding the website, and specifically the guide: when describing the features of "Carom3d Online Billiard" they praise the diversity of their games offered (even though only 4 supported in the client) and then the following sentence is written: Many ladies often enjoy pocket ball games such as 8 ball, 9 ball and rotation ball. I cannot even begin to comment on how weird/inappropriate/non-politically correct whatever that is. But it is funny.

 | | Game Usability & Interface Download speeds for the client (which weighs around 17 Mb ) were nearly unbearable. The in-game help is not very good, and you have to read the cryptic manual on the website in order to really understand how to play the game. Actually its quite hard to just start playing the game and it took me a while before I could understand how to get started on the different features available.
|
 | | Game Physics Quite good but not one of the most impressive I have seen
|
 | | Money Gaming
No, Even though apparently there are some cash prizes in select "pro" tournaments.
| | | Tournaments
Yes, it seems as if carom3d.com is dedicated entirely to the tournaments and the tournament community, including blogs of players and more. In fact the whole thing is more reminiscent of an MMORPG (buying various virtual accessories with fake money etc.) than a serious billiard game.
|
 | | Conclusion
More broken English, "You get some reward when you win the tournament." "If you cheat at once, your ID will be banned forever.", and the worst music ever. If you are looking for a serious billiard game, or an opportunity to make some money while playing, then carom3d.com isn't for you. But if you are looking for an amusing and definitely strange community, based on various billiard games, then carom3d.com is right up your alley.
